Local Lambing Weekends near Tonbridge

It's that time of year again! The days are getting longer and warmer, the picturesque farms of Kent are preparing to welcome local families to their much-anticipated lambing weekends. From farms brimming with newborn lambs to hands-on activities sure to captivate young minds, this blog serves as your ultimate resource for discovering when to embark on these enchanting farm adventures.



Hadlow College Lambing Weekend

Location: Hadlow

Date: Saturday 20th April and Sunday 21st April

Time: 11 am - 4 pm

Cost: £12 for adults, £8 for children, under 2s are free


This two-day lambing weekend is as local as it gets! Set in the fantastic Hadlow college grounds, the land-based college will be showing off their new born lambs and other animals. You can also expect to find arts and crafts stalls, local food vendors, a birds of prey display, tractor trailer rides, fun fair rides, archery and more.



Four Winds Farm

Date: Saturday 20th April

Location: Bidborough

Time: 10 am - 4 pm

Cost: £8 for adults, £4 for children, under 2s are free


Along with the adorable new lambs, attendees can expect to find various activities like face painting, sheep shearing, sheep dog displays, tractor rides, arts and crafts and more! This is a working farm, so is especially exciting for a look into the real farming experience.






Rare Breeds Centre

Date: From now until late April/early May

Location: Ashford

Time: 10 am - 5 pm

Cost: £15.75 for adults, £13.50 for children, free for Under 3s.


If you are after something a little further afield, the fantastic Rare Breeds Centre near Ashford won't disappoint with its range of different abilities. Though not strictly a "lambing weekend", the farm does have lambs and is currently expecting new lambs and other baby animals this spring. Along with marvelling at little lambs, you can expect to find an Easter trail, trailer rides, a children's barn, adventure trails, playgrounds, and much more!



Kent Life

Date: 29th March - 14th of April

Location: Maidstone

Time: 10 am - 5 pm

Cost: £11.36 for both adults and children, under 2s free.


Spring into Easter at Kent Life. For a full day-out, this lovely heritage farm is a perfect pick for the whole family. Along with seeing newborn lambs (of course!) children will delight in getting to hold and cuddle guinea pigs, bunnies, and baby chicks. There is also a playground, tractor rides and even an indoor soft-play in case the weather takes a turn. You can also find an owl flying demo and other fun activities.



Little Fant Farm

Date: Saturdays and Sundays

Location: East Farleigh

Time: 11 am - 3 pm

Cost: Free entry and free parking!


Just outside Maidstone, you will find a charming small family farm that is also a fantastic option for your budget! Although their "meet the lambs" event has passed, the lambs in question are still there and excited to meet little ones and their parents. There are also little piggies, ducks, and chickens, as well as a lovely tea barn.



Godstone Farm

Date: From now until late April/early May

Location: Godstone

Time: 09:30 am - 4:45 pm

Cost: From £14.95 for adults and children over the age of 2. From £7.50 for 1 year-olds and under 1s go free.


This family-favourite farm is always a brilliant visit. At this time of year, you can find newborn lambs, little piglets, baby chicks and more adorably cuddly animals and listen to talks, partake in feedings, and so much more! They have an absolutely ridiculous amount of play areas (a huge outdoor adventure playground, two indoor soft plays, a toddler mud-kitchen area, a dinosaur trail, multiple areas with ride-on toys and so much more. Save money by taking a picnic and drinks with you.
